Everything You Need
To Know About Waxing

  • For best results with your intimate wax gently exfoliate a few days prior to appointment.

  • Perfect length of hair is approx the size of a grain of rice. If it’s too short it might not all come out, and look patchy. If it’s too long it will hurt more. It will also take longer, with extra strips.

  • You can have a Brazilian wax during your menstrual cycle but be advised it will be more sensitive. I totally understand if you want to reschedule, but it’s up to you.

  • Four weeks apart is the ideal schedule to keep up with intimate waxing. Please do not shave in between services.

Waxing Tips & Best Practices

After Wax Instructions

(24-48hrs)

  • No hot baths or showers (warm water only).

  • No saunas, hot tubs or steam treatments.

  • No tanning (sunbathing, sunbeds or fake tans).

  • No sport, gym or other exercise that will cause friction an sweat in the vulnerable hair follicles.

  • Avoid scratching or touching the treated area with unwashed hands.

  • Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools.

  • Do not apply deodorants, body sprays, powders, lotions or other products to the area.

  • Some redness and small bumps are common immediately after waxing and are only temporary reactions, particularly if this is your first wax. These symptoms should subside over 24-48 hours. It is called a histamine reaction.

  • After 2 days very gently exfoliate the area 2-3 times a week.

Contraindications for Waxing

  • Acne Medications (Accutane and any other acne medications prescribed by a doctor) may sensitize and thin the skin. The risk for lifting, also known as tearing, and then scabbing, and possibly scarring is high. You must be off Accutane for a year to be waxed.

  • Retin A use must be  stopped one month prior to waxing.

  • Antibiotics

  • Hormone replacement therapy
